Italian Students Enjoy Learning Vietnamese

Attending the talk were Professor Fabrizio Marrella, vice rector of Ca’ Foscari University, along with Professor Dean and teacher Le Thi Bich Huong.
Ambassador Duong Hai Hung informed the students about Vietnam’s socio-economic development and policies, achievements in bilateral relations and introduce the meaning of Vietnam – Italy Year 2023 activities.
The Ambassador was touched by the students’ love for Vietnamese culture, history and language.
He also thanked the school for its efforts in facilitating learning and research not only on the language but also on the history, literature, economy and culture of Vietnam.
The school participates in cultural exchange activities to connect Italian students with Vietnamese students studying abroad at Ca’Foscari University as well as doing internships in Vietnam.
The Ambassador expressed his belief that the students will be a necessary human resource for the economic relations of the two countries.
He also wished that the faculty’s students, pioneering the young generation of Italian students, would continue the good tradition of the two countries’ relations, further tightening the relationship between Vietnam and Italy.

In the exchange part, the Italian students shared their experiences of learning Vietnamese, expressed their affection for the country and people of Vietnam, as well as some suggestions to facilitate the learning process such as providing materials, books, and supporting internship opportunities in Vietnam.
The students also presented unique cultural performances such as folk dance and quan ho singing.
On this occasion, Ambassador Duong Hai Hung also met and presented two Vietnamese films, “Hoa nhai” (Jasmine) and “Dem toi ruc ro” (The Brilliant Darkness) to Paola Mar, councillor for heritage, City of Venice. This is an activity well received and appreciated by the city government.
