Commuters are forced to push their motorbikes slowly as they travel along flooded roads, with disruption causing them to be late for work and school. High floodwater leads to traffic chaos on many streets across the southern city. Many travel on other roads to avoid the high floodwater, although they face traffic jams, causing plenty of difficulties on their way to home. A small alley is submerged in floodwater. The daily lives of local residents turn upside down due to heavy rains and high tides. Suong has spent 89 days writing the calligraphy and finding connections to produce the finished product. The words written on the giant hat include sightseeing spots in Can Tho, folk songs, proverbs, poems, and the names of various provinces and cities across the country. She shares that the purpose of her work is to honour the beauty of the fatherland through pieces of calligraphy.
